Russell and Amanda Long

Russell and Amanda haRussell and Amanda Longve been married for 7 years and have 2 beautiful children Arianna and Samuel. Russell works as an electrician for Yahama and Amanda is now a stay at home mom. Russell came to Christ as the age of 8 but really began to develop a fire for God in his early 20s. He has been involved in children's, evangelistic, and youth ministry for over 12 years. Amanda came to Christ at age 5. She began working in Children's ministry in her teens and has been in some form of ministry ever since. During the time they have been married, they have served as youth pastors at several churches, finally serving as the youth pastors of CCC for the past 4 1/2 years. They both long to see this next generation rise up in power and take their place on the wall with a fire for God so unquenchable that nothing can shake them. They work to empower youth with the knowledge that will allow them to reach their destiny in Christ, and become an example of Christ on the earth.

Melissa Minix

Coweta native, Melissa is part of the group of families who came together to start New Life.  She is currently in her sixth year as a teacher and third at Newnan High School where she teaches math. Melissa came to know the Lord at a youth camp when she was 12 and started working with the youth at her church when she was in college.  She has been working with the youth at New Life for almost four years now, and she truly loves spending time each week with the youth.  She longs to see the youth of UNITED come into their calling as young men and women with hearts after God.  Each week she is amazed at what God continues to do in the life of the young people and how they challenge her weekly as their passion for an intimate relationship with Jesus grows. Melissa also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling anywhere she can, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.

Pastor Joseph Tillman

Joseph is the founding pastor of New Life.  He and his wife, Melanie, have been married five years, and have one son, Luke. Though only 30, Joseph has been in full-time ministry for eight years.  He has served as an intern at the Wesley Foundation at UGA, traveled with Rev. Rick Bonfim throughout Brazil and America, and worked as a youth pastor all prior to planting New Life here in Newnan.  He holds a Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology, and longs to be one who worships in both Spirit and Truth. Joseph longs for men and women to view God rightly and in turn view themselves as God sees them. He believes that these two realities will cause their hearts to be filled with an intimate, passionate, holy, and violent love for God that will lead them to love their neighbors in a way that is completely beyond their own ability. And in love, they will proclaim with boldness the gospel of Christ and the kingdom of God with a demonstration of power. He also loves to spend time with his wife and son, coach soccer, play guitar, and root for the Bulldogs and Braves.
